Gemma Clarke sits on national and international higher education quality boards and member Medical Research Scotland, a charity supporting early career scientists. There’s information here <medicalresearchscotland.org.uk> but briefly, He fund PhD students working collaboratively across academia and industry, in any area relevant to health. He also support vacation scholars – up to 100 each year – and we do outreach, getting a selection of our students to present their research to secondary school students. And he works with the Daphne Jackson Trust to support scientists returning to the lab after a career break. It’s a busy portfolio of which we're very proud.
